Kinloop — Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 6, 2026
1. What we collect
- Location events of your family member — when your family member's device (running Kinhere) enters or leaves a designated area, sends a check-in, requests help, or sends a periodic heartbeat, the event is stored with coordinates, accuracy, timestamp, battery level, device model, and iOS version.
- Family code — a shared code that links the family member's device to yours.
2. What we do NOT collect
- We do not collect your (the family member's) location through Kinloop itself.
- We do not use advertising or analytics SDKs.
- We do not sell or share data with any third party.
3. How data is used
Location events are used solely to show you the safety status of your family member: where they last were, when they arrived or left home, and whether they need help. Data is stored on our server and is visible only to devices that know your family code.
4. Data retention & deletion
Events are retained for up to 90 days. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.
5. Consent
Location sharing requires the explicit consent of the family member being located. The Kinhere app displays the same privacy policy and requires granting location permission. Both parties must agree to be connected by the family code.
